Hi!
I’m Sam, the creator and developer of Gameplan Connect. My inspiration for this platform comes from years of playing and volunteering for the state governing body of Snooker in Melbourne, Australia.
During my time volunteering, I noticed that managing competitions often relied on outdated, custom-built systems—or worse, paper (a nightmare for anyone who’s been there!).
This platform is driven by two main goals. First, as a player, I craved a more intuitive user experience, with easy ways to track progress, view fixtures, and manage schedules. Second, I wanted to reduce the administrative burden on volunteers managing these competitions, so they could spend less time on busywork and more time playing or supporting their communities.
Through research, I found that many existing solutions were often overly tailored to specific sports and still lacked key features that I, as a player, would find useful.
Gameplan Connect is my way of creating a tool I would want to use—both as a player and a sports administrator. I hope it makes things easier for everyone, whether you’re on the field or behind the scenes.
